Selling a home can be stressful but there are some sure-fire ways to make things go smoother and help you get the most money for your home. here are my Go-to tips.
Improve Curb Appeal
First Impressions count and the outside is the first thing a buyer will see when they arrive and probably the first thing they will see online. If the outside looks great, your listing will get more traffic. You can clean your yard, trim hedges, refresh mulch, paint your trim or front door or put out some colorful plants.
Clean
Give your home a deep clean before listing it and throughout the selling process to make a good first impression. Buyers are more likely to feel like a house "needs work" if its dirty and they tend to make lower offers or pass on them altogether and that could really cost you money.
Declutter
Decluttering makes your home feel more spacious as well as cleaner so pack up anything you don't need. It will make move out easier and help your home sell faster. You might even want to rent a storage unit while you're selling.
Make necessary repairs
A well-maintained home is more appealing to buyers and may sell faster and for a better price. Sometimes deferred home maintenance can cause problems during home inspections and can cost you to lose a buyer.
Be flexible with showings
Try to accommodate as many showing requests as possible, even last-minute ones if you can. The more people that view your home, the better.
Offer seller credit
You can offer to pay some of the buyer's closing costs as an incentive to sell your home quickly.
Find a Listing Agent that gets you
An experienced real estate agent can help you set a price that reflects your home's value and can help you identify your goals and what's most important to you. Make sure that agent is going to take the time to help you plan what's right for you. The agents that provide the best service to their clients don't overbook themselves so you'll be top priority.
